Nobelium Asia Singapore and Academic Literacy ID Seal Strategic Collaboration at Singapore Writers Festival 2025
Singapore, Friday, 7 November 2025—Nobelium Asia Singapore and Academic Literacy ID have formalized a strategic collaboration to strengthen the academic-literacy and professional writing ecosystem across Southeast Asia. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed during the Singapore Writers Festival (SWF) 2025 at The Arts House at the Old Parliament, 1 Old Parliament Lane, Singapore 179429, a national heritage venue that has become a landmark stage for regional literary events.
This collaboration is uniquely underpinned by three Indonesian professional certification bodies (Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi/LSP): LSP Penulis dan Editor Profesional, LSP Penerbitan, and LSP Perbukuan. Their involvement ensures that the initiative is grounded in competency standards, clear certification pathways, and professional recognition aligned with evolving industry needs in writing, editing, publishing, and research.

At the heart of the partnership are three programme pillars. The first focuses on capacity building through workshops, clinics, and masterclasses designed for writers, editors, researchers, and publishing managers. These activities will be anchored in real-world casework, enabling participants to sharpen both technical and contextual skills needed in academic and professional publishing.
The second pillar, credentials for competency recognition, introduces stackable credentials and industry-recognized certifications. These will be mapped to national competency units while referencing international best practices, allowing talents across the region to progressively build and formally validate their expertise.
The third pillar is a sustainability program for writers and researchers, which will explore models such as micro-financing, project incubation, and cross-border collaboration networks. The aim is to help creators not only launch their careers but sustain them over the long term, with better access to opportunities, partners, and support systems.
“SWF is the ideal stage to affirm our commitment,” said Paul Armstrong, representing Nobelium Asia Singapore. “Through this partnership we aim to open more career pathways and publication opportunities for writing and research talents across the region.”

Lutfi T. Rizki, representing Academic Literacy ID, emphasized the importance of standards and long-term support. “With support from three LSPs, we are putting measurable standards at the core. Our focus is clear: integrate capacity building, professional credentials, and sustainability so writers and researchers can thrive.”
Nobelium Asia Singapore develops knowledge and creative-economy ecosystems through cross-industry partnerships, technology enablement, and talent acceleration programs. Academic Literacy ID complements this by serving as a platform for academic-literacy capacity building, connecting writers, editors, researchers, and publishers with competency standards, mentorship, and regional collaboration.
Through this collaboration, both organizations—backed by Indonesia’s professional certification ecosystem—aim to turn the momentum of SWF 2025 into tangible, long-term gains for the literary and academic communities of Southeast Asia.
